East Coast Artist Elyse Aeryn Releases Sophomore Album Everybody Loves You…

Nova Scotian artist Elyse Aeryn returns with her highly anticipated sophomore album, Everybody Loves You…, out February 26 (via Symphonic Distribution) on all streaming platforms. The release marks a powerful new chapter for the acclaimed singer-songwriter, following a recent life-altering motorcycle accident that reshaped both the timeline and meaning of the record.

Recorded at Soundpark Studios in Sydney, Nova Scotia alongside 15-time ECMA winner Jamie Foulds (Pretty Archie, Carmen Townsend), and mastered by Grammy Award–winner Harry Hess (Arkells, The Trews), Everybody Loves You… showcases Elyse’s soulful vocals, roots-rock edge and ability to blend country and Americana elements with her undeniable pop sensibility. Drawing inspiration from iconic female rock trailblazers such as Stevie Nicks and Alanis Morissette, the album delivers a bold, emotionally resonant sound that feels timeless.

The record took on a deeper significance following Elyse’s accident, which forced an unexpected pause just as she was preparing to promote the album.

“Through the creation process, I began romanticizing death, giving myself permission to create my most raw and authentic work in case it was my last chance. After all, everybody loves you when you’re dead, right? Which later became the inspiration for the title. In the fall of 2025 as I was about to hit the road to promote the album’s release, a brush with mortality on my motorcycle delayed everything and forced me to pause. I’m extremely lucky to have been graced with a second chance,” said Elyse “These songs mean so much more now – to me, to my family and friends, and to my day ones. I know I’ve already left my mark to a degree, but I believe there’s still more to come.”

A standout on the album is “Cry,” a track written by Elyse in under two hours. The song opens with a cold, detached calm — weary of the same old story — before building toward the edge of emotional release, with vocals and guitar pushing against each other in raw intensity. Another key moment on Everybody Loves You… is the buoyant, nostalgia-tinged Unstoppable,” which ranked #1 on CIOE’s Top 100 East Coast Song Of 2025 and cracked the Mediabase/Billboard Canada Active Rock chart. The track was also featured by Sportsnet during Canadian tennis sensation Vicky Mboko’s historic National Bank Open win in Montreal.

Elyse Aeryn quickly emerged as one of Atlantic Canada’s most promising breakout artists, her 2023 debut album, Joy State of Mind, earned an East Coast Music Award nomination for Rock Recording of the Year and won Music Nova Scotia’s Country Recording of the Year. She was also crowned Music Nova Scotia’s Entertainer of the Year in 2024, named a 2023 Wavemaker Ambassador for the Halifax JUNO Awards, and voted Best New Artist in The Coast’s Best of Halifax reader poll.

To celebrate the release of Everybody Loves You…, Elyse will hit the road for two special album release shows, bringing the new music to life for fans in Cape Breton Regional Municipality and Port Hawkesbury.
