Today, multi-JUNO Award-winning Canadian electro-pop artist Kiesza returns with her sultry new single “Stays In Bed,” distributed via Vydia and available now on all streaming platforms.
Crafted in Kiesza’s home studio in Toronto, the new single is a high-energy, club-focused track produced by the UK’s breakout DJ Sammy Virji and rising producer-artist Jess Cake (Bambie Thug). Designed to elevate the pulse and bring bedroom energy to the dancefloor, the track offers the first glimpse of Kiesza’s upcoming album, Dancing and Crying: Vol. 2, set for release later this year. This new era marks a sexy and intimate exploration of female-driven house music, signaling an exciting evolution in her sound.

“We all carry sides of ourselves that we rarely let the world see. People have known me for my quirkiness, my nerdiness, my carefree spirit, my retro flair, and my love of dance. But it’s my sensuality that quietly fuels my creative fire. It’s the pulse beneath the surface that allows me to shape-shift into a kaleidoscope of expression,” said Kiesza. Sexuality is deeply woven into the fabric of our reality, whether we choose to embrace it or not. I’ve never fully unleashed this part of myself, but working with Jess Cake and Sammy Virji on ‘Stays in Bed’ cracked something open. And once it opened, there was no going back. This song didn’t just mark a moment. It set the tone for everything to come and revealed a chapter I didn’t realize I was so ready to begin.”
Alongside the new single release, Kiesza has announced her Dancing and Crying Tour, with upcoming Canadian shows in Vaughan, Ottawa, Montreal and Waterloo, and more dates to be revealed soon. She is also set to take the stage at Nathan Phillips Square on June 27th to perform at the opening night of Toronto Pride, and has recently been doing pop up DJ sets with producer Jess Cake around the city.
Kiesza burst onto the scene in 2014 with her double-platinum breakout hit “Hideaway,” amassing over a billion streams and earning critical acclaim for its accompanying one-shot music video, which landed on multiple best-of-the-decade lists. Her debut album, Sound of a Woman, dominated international charts, solidifying her as a major force in the electro-pop world.

Despite a two-year hiatus following a serious car accident in 2017, Kiesza made a powerful return, maintaining her momentum through top-tier collaborations with Deadmau5 and Francis Mercier.
Her latest album, Dancing and Crying: Vol. 1, featured the standout single “I Go Dance,” which soared to #1 on the US Dance Airplay Chart in 2024. The album was also presented in full with a special appearance featuring Kiesza arranged with the Calgary Philharmonic Orchestra this past October.
With more new music on the horizon, Kiesza continues to evolve her sound and vision, driving her artistic journey forward at full throttle. For more information, please visit www.kiesza.com.
