Canadian luxury brand brings locally and ethically made, design-driven essentials to one of the city’s most vibrant cultural hubs
Canada’s responsibly-minded luxury brand, Monte & Coe has officially opened its first-ever brick-and-mortar location, taking over a container storefront in the heart of Toronto’s iconic Distillery District. This year-long pop-up, located at Retailer Container #9, invites shoppers to explore a thoughtfully curated collection of elevated everyday essentials, including handcrafted fashion accessories, travel goods, and homewares – all Canadian made using ethically sourced materials.

Running from now through 2026, the Monte & Coe container store offers a hands-on experience with the brand’s bestsellers and newest releases – including the highly anticipated Bucket Bag, as well as Weekender and Tote bags, Briefcases, Laptop Sleeves, Luggage Tags, Wine Totes, Aprons, Cigar Cases, and more. Visitors can personalize select items onsite with complimentary monogramming, adding a thoughtful and bespoke touch. Every piece is designed with timeless appeal and crafted locally in Toronto and Montreal, reinforcing Monte & Coe’s commitment to sustainable, small-batch manufacturing.

“Ten years ago, we launched Monte & Coe with a crowdfunding campaign and a vision to redefine Canadian-made luxury,” said Andrew Coelho, co-founder of Monte & Coe. “After shipping thousands of orders around the world, this retail space marks a full-circle moment – an opportunity to reconnect with our roots, celebrate our community, and create something special right here at home.”

Visitors can immerse themselves in the full Monte & Coe experience – exploring a lineup of luxury everyday essentials, discovering exclusive drops and limited-edition designs, personalizing select pieces with onsite monogramming, and engaging directly with the brand’s founding team.
