Satya Releases Debut Album and Lead Single “Note To Myself,” A Heartfelt Journey of Sobriety, Self-Love, and Growth

Rising Canadian pop-R&B artist Satya unveils her deeply personal debut album, Note to Myself, along with the title track and lead single, “Note to Myself.” Rooted in storytelling, vulnerability, and resilience, the album chronicles Satya’s journey through relationships, motherhood, personal growth, and 16 years of sobriety, marking the start of her official artistic career.

The album brings together a team of talented collaborators, including Garrett Alex Raffanelli and Satya Quane Chagnon as writers, Domenic Pandolfo & Marc Béland on production, Domeno & Marky Beats, Ghislain Brind’amour, Richard Addison, and S.E.N.S Productions, creating a rich and soulful soundscape that complements Satya’s heartfelt lyrics.

The lead single, “Note To Myself,” anchors the album with a message of hope, resilience, and self-acceptance. Celebrated by Spotify’s editorial team with a feature in this week’s edition of Fresh Finds Canada, the song reflects Satya’s 16 years of sobriety from alcoholism and her dedication to personal truth and growth. It is both a declaration and an invitation—an open letter to herself and to listeners to embrace strength through vulnerability. Along with being noted in Exclaim! Magazine as 5 Emerging Canadian Artists You Need to Hear in September 2025. This was off the heels of her single Realness hitting #35 on the US Mediabase CHR/ Dance charts.

“This album is my first, and it was very heartfelt,” Satya shares. “I wanted to create a storytelling album so people could get to know me as an artist. I’ve been through a lot in my life, as many of us have. I wanted to show vulnerability and strength. A lot of self-love came out of this, and yes, there were tears. It’s the starting point of my career, and I’m very proud of what came out of it.”

Note To Myself traces moments of heartbreak, healing, and self-discovery with honesty and emotional transparency. From reflecting on past relationships to embracing the challenges of motherhood and personal transformation, Satya’s songwriting offers listeners a chance to connect and feel seen. “In this album, I wanted to show how much I’ve worked through sweat and tears to make sure I am authentic and upfront with my values,” she explains. “I talk about my sobriety, how to love and accept myself through thick and thin. I want people to know they are not alone.”

Across Note To Myself, Satya balances emotional depth with empowerment, moving fluidly between moments of introspection and bold affirmation. “I’m passionate about telling the truth. It comes from my heart,” Satya says. The album is a compelling mix of pop and R&B, filled with energy, emotional resonance, and a spirit of self-love and perseverance.

Staya’s first single, “Maybe We Should, ” climbed to #40 on the US Mediabase CHR chart and reached #30 with the Domeno remix, receiving support from international DJs, including Hardwell. Her song “In Trouble” also secured a place on Quebec’s ADISQ Top 20 chart. Satya has appeared on eTalkLe Journal de Montréal, SiriusXMCP24 Breakfast, and numerous other media appearances.

But Satya’s voice goes beyond radio charts. Born in a Moroccan orphanage and adopted into a loving Quebec home, Satya has faced adversity from an early age, battling bullying, identity issues, substance abuse, and mental health struggles. After surviving a suicide attempt at 20 and achieving sobriety by 21, she rediscovered her dream of becoming a singer and began using her platform to advocate for mental health and addiction recovery.
