Toronto’s Jessica Sevier Celebrates Double Win at the 2026 CMAOntario Awards

Prepares for the release of her debut EP Wild Wild Womanand first-ever UK tour

Rising Canadian country artist Jessica Sevier celebrated a major career milestone, taking home two awards at the 2026 Country Music Association of Ontario Awards in Port Credit, Ontario. Sevier was recognized alongside her co-writers, award-winning artist Robyn Ottolini and Derek Hoffman (Arkells, The Trews) as Songwriter of the Year for her Top 40 single “Good to Drive” and Breakthrough Artist of the Year, further cementing her status as one of Canada’s fastest-rising country artists. Jessica also made her CMA Ontario performance debut last night, performing “Good to Drive.”

“I am incredibly honoured and grateful to receive two CMA Ontario Awards. The past two years have been filled with exciting milestones from signing with my management team at Strut and the Paquin Artist Agency to building my teams across Europe, the UK, and Australia. To now be recognized with Breakthrough Artist of the Year and Songwriter of the Year for Good to Drive, alongside my co-writers Robyn Ottolini and Derek Hoffman (who also produced the song), is truly special,” said Sevier. “I want to thank the CMA Ontario voting members, my team, and everyone who has supported me throughout this wild ride so far. This recognition means so much to me, and we’re only just getting started!”

Sevier is now preparing to release her highly anticipated debut EP, Wild Wild Woman, this summer. She will also embark on her first-ever international tours this fall, bringing her music to audiences across the United Kingdom. The run begins September 4 at the British Country Music Festival in Blackpool, followed by acoustic co-headline shows with Ryan Langdon. In January 2027, she will make her way to Australia for a handful of shows; it will be her first time touring in the southern hemisphere, marking this as an exciting new chapter in her rapidly growing career.

Following the success of her fan-favourite singles “Good to Drive” and “Panic Years,” Sevier has amassed more than 2.3 million streams while building a reputation for honest songwriting and genre-blending country music. She will continue that momentum with the release of her new single, “Loser,” on July 10.

Set for release later this year, Wild Wild Woman finds Sevier at her most confident and authentic. Drawing from personal experiences – including navigating toxic relationships and recovering from a serious horseback riding accident – the collection explores themes of resilience, self-discovery, and empowerment.

Created alongside acclaimed collaborators Serena Ryder, Hill Kourkoutis, Derek Hoffman, Robyn Ottolini and Ron Lopata, the EP blends country, roots, Americana, rock, and R&B influences while showcasing the honest storytelling and distinctive artistry that have become Sevier’s trademark. As she celebrates two CMAOntario wins and prepares to take her music to international audiences for the first time, Wild Wild Woman marks the arrival of an artist coming into her own.
